Management and Administration Office

The Management and Administration Office (MAO) works to support the Curriculum and Teaching (CAT) department.

Front Office

Our Front Office team acts as a conduit for Academia, both client-facing and between internal stakeholders. We’re always on the lookout for well-grounded and capable executives. A key prerequisite all Front Office roles is an inclination for working with children and youths, and an aspiration to support their educational needs. Front Office members typically start as front desk executives. As a role with a view of almost every function in Academia, career-inclined Front Office staff are often well-suited for team leader and management roles later in their career at Academia.

Design Department

The Design Department is a multi-faceted team focused on instructional design and development. Our members have talents ranging from graphic design, to UI/UX, and copy writing skills. The Design Department strives to make our materials, from printed worksheets to digital platforms, visually compelling and easy to understand. In addition, the Digital Department maintains Academia’s website and social media platforms, releasing updates and announcements when required, and co-writing informative articles with various internal stakeholders to be published on our website.

Operations Department

The Operations Department is the backbone of Academia’s day-to-day, from ensuring that our classrooms and facilities are clean, safe, well-lit and well-kept, to maintaining our furniture, equipment, and IT infrastructure, from projectors to printers, workstations to Wi-Fi. The Operations Department is also in charge of all procurement, printing, and logistics. Members of the Operations Department are often cheerful and efficient individuals, who are well-organised and work well with external contractors and service providers.

People and Culture

The People and Culture team at Academia works to ensure that staff members are well-supported. The People and Culture team has two main objectives – the first being to ensure that Academia is well-staffed in order to serve client needs, and the second being to maximise benefits and support for all Academia staff within Academia’s financial constraints. The People and Culture team is responsible for helping teachers at Academia plan their careers, improve their skills through training programmes, and for providing mental and emotional support when teachers face difficulties in their work environment.
