The Pantry

Nevertheless, free food is a great place to start. The Academia Pantry is an exercise in collective decision making. Apart from an enduring stash of Nespresso capsules, the contents of the Pantry changes month-on-month based on the popularity of items, and requests from Academia team members. Just drop a mention of your favorite snack to our friendly Operations Executive when you’re refilling your water bottle, and he’ll do his best to make it happen. Be warned though – the Pantry is free-for-all, and your requests may be looted by any other member of the team!

Flexible Schedules

Qualified teachers (Associate level and above) at Academia typically are on-site to teach 4 days per week, and have an administrative day where they may choose to work from home, to mark student work or develop curriculum. Schedules are set prior to the start of the year, or upon joining the Academia team.

Birthdays and Celebrations

At Academia, we celebrate birthdays on a quarterly basis. Expect to receive a token of appreciation from us, as well as a day of birthday leave to be used within your birthday month! We also have a number of festive celebrations spread across the year, from New Years to Teachers Day, and more.
